Dealing with troubles in my net-art relaish

It’s not easy being net_auth… Knowing that net art is so lowbrow/middlebrow, meant to be ’embraced’ by ‘youth culture.’ Sometimes it feels like we are just manipulating aesthetics in order to scale, and no visual messages even mean n e thing. I feel like I am just trying to get reblogged on Tumblr [circa 2009-2011].

Being net auth puts a lot of strain on my relationship. I really hope we can work out our problems. Sometimes I feel too auth, knowing that no1 else could ‘complete me’ [via Nothing Matters]. I try to be very forthcoming about my emotional needs and relationship expectations, but I’m not sure what even really matters / if I will evr be happy / why I do n e thing.

Sometimes I just feel like a bro in an artsy video staring earnestly in2 the camera with net art gradient-wave colors behind me.

It’s not easy being a net-auth relaish. Sometimes we both think things are ‘cool’, then we realize that they aren’t actually ‘cool’, they just borrow ‘cool’-like aesthetics, and then we realize that we were trained 2 look 4 the wrong things in art based on our consumer perceptions of the world.

Sort of just want to vibe out with a plain looking girl who is post-normcore, but also has an artistic side that will allow me to start an auth buzzband with her. She will look great on cam [via hauntingly normal].

I can get mad at her and ‘mentally abuse her’ when I realize that our art/product ‘just isn’t good enough’ and that all of our ideas are ‘effing terrible.’

I really hope we can work this out.
