Good news, the message of Carles.buzz has ventured into the post authentic message board space. Apparently there is some ‘sub-reddy’ called ‘Indie Heads’ where ppl who are totez in2 indie post abt things. It is good 2 know that ‘indie’ is still ‘alive’ and ‘going strong’ in a ‘niche community’ where every1’s opinion matters.

To all the people who say ‘indie is over’ and that the Pitchfork only covers ‘black people music’ [via post-Conway West 10.0], you are wrong. Indie lives on, just maybe not where you’d expect 2 find it.

They posted about Carles.buzz’s Mac DeMarco post, exposing this site to a ‘whole new audience.’ It feels great to go ‘niche viral’ infiltrating an entire audience of tastemakers and thought leaders.

It sorta reminded me why I stopped blogging and had a ‘complete content meltdown’:

The voice of the internet commenter is more important than the voice of the media. The media only exists 2 sustain itself, creating pages and pages of content only 2 confuse ppl in2 thinking that their niche of expertise matters. The voice of ‘real people’ is what matters, not the voice of 1 writer who pretends that every ‘piece’ that they write is supposed to ‘define an effing generation’ when most online readers will just wipe their ass with it.

There are still ppl out there.

Do indie artists need ‘luv’ from ‘online communities’?
Or do indie artists need to focus more on their reach & scalable media plan?
Can u ‘manipulate’ varying mediums of online public discussion in order 2 ‘build a scene’?
Or will ‘the next scene’ emerge from a different medium/organically shareable mechanism?
