Is the ‘double v’ in ALVVAYS more authentic than the ‘u’ replacement in CHVRCHES CHVCKVN?

In the first post abt auth, I wondered if ALVVAYS was truly auth, or if it was just scalable indie. It doesn’t matter 2 me. I’m not here 2 talk about auth. I’m not here 2 marginalize women. I just want to celebrate them. Why do ppl think I don’t appreciate the beauty in women? I just want 2 discuss the impact of sexual perceptions on the marketing of females in the art world, ‘opening up a conversation’ abt how the media presents women 2 make their outlets more scalable.

In the hit love song by Alvvays “Party Police,” Rankin sings, “You don’t have 2 leave // You can just stay here with me… Forget about the party police / We can find comfort in debauchery.” U sorta just wish u could find some1 to ‘get effed up with’ in an unchill town where no1 is a true auth, so all u can do is ‘party’ [via drugs/alcohol/auth vibes]. In the next verse, she offers 2 find comfort in biology, which seems pretty chill [via sex=biology]. However, I think she is referring to losing a close, genuine, emotional and intimate relationship with some1. Feel kinda bad [via emotional]

where u can still hear the Canadian folk influences
mixed with fuzzy buzzy female garage beach consumer indie pop aesthetic.

Is it weird that I have this dream
where u invite me 2 dinner with ‘the Rankin Family [via mainstream Canadian folkwave band fame]
I tell them just how special your music is
How it resonates, transcends, and promotes organic vibes.
And they sort of ‘get’ why ur music is good, but maybe still think their music is more culturally authentic
but then we have an open discussion about trends, scalable art, and cultural relativity
We all bond, and build a strong, healthy relationship.
